Every little girl wants to be the best fairy in the world, so here’s some ideas for some fairy costume accessories for children that will never fail to charm.
There’s a number of solutions to the dilemma of what a woodland fairy should wear in her hair.
Pieces can range from the simple one single flower to very elaborate garlands.
The dawn fairy hairclip is lovely with its pink & yellow multi-winged butterfly shape & trailing ribbons.
Other options you could consider are ultra magical fairy tiaras & or regal fairy princess crowns.

When I first saw this picture it looked like the young girl was wearing false eyelashes & I couldn’t imagine many little girls sitting still long enough to have them applied. Looking more closely though I’m pretty sure it’s just eyeliner which is something of a relief. I think that all little girls are beautiful & while it’s fun for them to have some sparkly fairy dust, they certainly don’t need loads of makeup.
The Disney Tinkerbell accessory playset is a really cute idea because it’s really three items in one. The treat bag has a detachable handle which magically turns into a bracelet & the jeweled flower motif doubles as a hair piece.
As this is an officially licenced Disney item there’s a picture of the gorgeous little Tink sitting on the front of the purse.
Add this kit to any kid’s Tinkerbell costume & it’ll be sure to go down a treat.
If you’re all going out door to door then you might need something a bit bigger to fit all the candy in. There’s a lovely selection of trick or treat bags big enough for even the sweetest tooth fairy. They range from the Disney variety that have pictures of all the top movies, to the more traditional pumpkin variety that can be used year after year with any costume.
Another official item from Disney are the Tinkerbell shoes that are fit for any fairy princess. The lime green jelly shoes have white faux fur surrounding a jeweled cameo of Tinker Bell.
Fairy shoes need to be comfortable as well as beautiful, especially if a long night’s trick or treating is on the cards.
So if a lot of walking is required then some simple ballet pumps might be a more practical option. These needn’t be boring because they come in a variety of colors including pink, gold & silver all with plenty of shimmer.
Of course thanks to the Wizard of Oz, then if ruby ballet slippers are required, they’re available too. In addition to the heels, Disney also make some flat pumps too.
Magical fairy wings are a must for any self respecting sprite & no fairy costume is ever really complete without them.
Often costumes come with the wings included as part of the package, but unfortunately sometimes they do need to be purchased separately.
While that’s a bit of a shame, it does give you chance to make your outfit individual & get the wings that you like best.
We particularly like these snowflake wings with their sheer material & icicle pattern, but (if you’ll please pardon the pun) when it comes to all the fairy wings you can choose from this is just the tip of the iceberg.

Fairy costumes are the best. So magical and mystical. Now to get some good wands to do magi powers.
My daughter has a fun little fairy costume that came with it’s own set of wings that velcro on. She has some fancy “big girl” shoes and a wand. By the way, wands make an excellent goodie bag gift for birthday parties.

Fairy costume accessories make half the look of fairies. Flower hairpieces, lime green jelly shoes, minimum silvery makeup, and the cute pink fairy wand, all these really complement the fairy costume.
